Abstracts submitted in this category will be critically appraised by the Scientific Committee. Only those accepted will present 20 munites at the Congress. Submissions may be on any topic within the broad scope of Dentistry including clinical, physical, biological and systemic health, wellbeing, quality of life and education.
Abstract Format:
Abstracts must NOT contain figures, tables, photos or illustrations. Abstracts must be approximately 200-300 words long and include the following sections:

Rejection:
Abstracts rejected from this category will be offered the opportunity to be included in the General poster section.

This podium targets university residents and early carrier dentists, with no age limit. Abstracts submitted in this category will be critically appraised by the Scientific Committee. Only those accepted will present 15 minutes at the Congress. Submissions may be on any topic within the broad scope of Dentistry including clinical, physical, biological and systemic health, wellbeing, quality of life and education.

The Scientific Committee is responsible for evaluating and selecting abstracts for presentation in the Original Scientific Research and Education Poster section.
Abstract format:
Abstracts must NOT contain figures, tables, photos or illustrations. Abstracts must be no more than 300 words long and include the following sections:

NOTE: THE ORIGINAL SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH ABSTRACTS WILL BE EVALUATED ONLY ONCE.
After the initial submission deadline, there will be no opportunity to modify abstracts or resubmit for further consideration. If the abstract does not comply with the guidance, is poorly written or information is missing, it will be rejected and considered for inclusion in the General Poster section.
Rejection:
Abstracts rejected from the Original Scientific Research and Education Poster subcategory will be considered for inclusion in the General Poster section. Abstracts may be rejected for the following reasons:
Abstracts accepted and presented as posters in the Original Scientific Research and Education section will bepublished in the coming issue of Journal of Lebanese Dental Association (JLDA) and become part of the scientific literature. The committee reserves the right to move the abstract to another topic other than the one selected by the author. The presenter may withdraw the abstract at any time by emailing [email protected]
Clinical Poster:
This section is for case reports or clinical techniques – and not for clinical research.
Research projects including clinical trials should NOT be submitted in this category but should be submitted to the Original Scientific Research category. If your submission does not follow the correct format, it will be considered to the General section.
Clinical poster submissions will be critically appraised by the Scientific Committee.
Authors will be given the option during submission to be considered to present their poster in the General Poster section if their submission is not accepted for the Clinical Poster section.
Poster format: Clinical posters should be prepared in PowerPoint and the final version saved in PDF format for uploading to the submission site. Only PDF files can be uploaded. All relevant images MUST be included in the PDF to illustrate the case report/technique in full..
The following sections must be included in the PDF poster:
Poster Presentation: All accepted original clinical posters will be moderated with 5 minutes allocated for presentation followed by time for questions. The nominated author must be in attendance for the entire session they are allocated to.
Those posters not accepted for presentation in the Clinical poster category will be sent to the General poster section if this option is selected by the author on submission.
General Poster

There will be NO DIRECT SUBMISSIONS to this category. General Posters will be selected from those abstracts rejected from the following
subcategories:
Clinical Video
Submissions in this category will be critically appraised by the Scientific Committee and only those accepted will present their videos.
Video format:
The video should be a maximum of 5 minutes long and submitted in MP4 format (maximum file size 100MB). Videos should describe a clinical case, technique or procedure, having a clinical relevance but NOT clinical trials or research studies. Videos can contain text and images (still and moving). A picture of the presenter must be included at the beginning and end of the video so the audience can visualize who they are. Audio MUST be included to explain the clinical case, technique or procedure.
Video Presentation:
All accepted videos will be shown in a lecture hall. The presenter will be informed when the showing will take place and it is recommended that the presenter attends the session in case there are questions from attendees, however, attendance is not essential.
